Essen, 11 June 2012 – Ferrostaal GmbH is using PowerGen Europe 2012, held this year from 12-14 June in Cologne, to present itself to an international trade audience as a competent partner and general contractor for the development and construction of plants for the production of energy. The company from Essen, Germany, is demonstrating its broad spectrum of services, taking as an example a gas & steam power plant in Trinidad and one of Europe's largest solar-thermal power plants (Andasol 3). This provides visitors an insight into the latest state of current technology and an outlook on the opportunities available, both with conventional power plants and with the solar and wind energy projects of tomorrow. Ferrostaal is also providing information about its services on all aspects relating to piping and components for industrial plants (Hall 9, stand 9A61).

As one of the leading providers of industrial services with operations worldwide, Ferrostaal has decades of experience developing and implementing power plant projects that must satisfy very different standards in different parts of the world. In light of dwindling resources and the top priority devoted to protecting the environment, Ferrostaal is also a sought-after partner for the use of renewable energies. "For us, this is an expectation and a challenge in equal measure,"remarks Ferrostaal managing director Kay Hanns Ewaldsen, "because we stand for sustainable and efficient solutions. We're also independent from equipment manufacturers. This means we can always bring the right technologies and partners together for a power plant project."
