CALA Scholarship
We make it possible for selected students from Latin America to study and obtain work experience in Germany.
Internationality is of great importance at Ferrostaal: study abroad, training on-the-job, broadening language skills as well as intercultural competence are indispensable if you want a career in a large global company.
Ferrostaal offers young people from Latin America an attractive opportunity to acquire international experience. We support outstanding performance in economics study combined with a good knowledge of German. The opportunity is provided by the CALA program (Carrera Alemán-Latinoamericana de Administración) – a German/Latin American degree course in business studies, which is offered by the University of Applied Sciences at Münster.
This course is divided into two parts: the first part of the degree course is completed at one of the partner universities in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica or Argentina; the second part takes place in Germany or at Münster’s University of Applied Sciences. On completion, students will have a university qualification from their home country, as well as a German Bachelor of Arts degree.
Graduates represent highly-qualified international managers, who bring with them in-depth economic knowledge and intercultural competence, and who are therefore best prepared for the challenges of the modern economy.
Our CALA Scholarship includes financial support for travel and accommodation costs, as well as a preparatory language course. Students are exempt from tuition fees. In addition to financial support, the CALA Scholarship also comprises a six-month long internship at our company that will provide an insight into the fascinating activities of a globally operating concern – as well as the opportunity to develop a career network. As a CALA Scholarship participant you are a potential candidate, upon completion of your degree course, to commence your career within one of our Latin American companies.
